Problem or Opportunity?

“Stop asking: Why is this happening to me?” Start asking: How might I learn and grow from this?” ~ Karen Salmansohn

Every hardship presents the opportunity to either grow from it or succumb to it. The path we take is completely up to us. When we begin to see life’s disappointments as the tools they are to build rather than destroy, our eyes are opened, our resolve strengthened, and our determination to navigate setbacks becomes even greater than before. Then, and only then, will we successfully push through life overcoming and dismantling every obstacle that stands in our way.

Failing Forward

“You can’t let your failures define you. You have to let your failures teach you. “ ~ Barack Obama

Life is a journey filled with valuable lessons, and experience is life’s greatest teacher. Naturally, we attempt to avoid failure at all costs; but failure is inescapable; a critical part of life’s journey.

We must condition ourselves to embrace failure and allow it to teach us about ourselves, about others, and about life; while being careful not to allow it to prevail and stifle our potential.

Be YOU!

“Don’t trade your authenticity for approval. “ ~ Unknown

We live in a world where many are in a race to keep up with the “Joneses”. Appearance and the perception or approval of others seem to rule in our seemingly superficial world. Many struggle internally to be authentic, reluctant to allow others to really see them for who they are.

Life is too short to live our lives according to the expectations of others. Celebrate your differences and be unapologetically you!

Don’t Lose Sight

“Focus on where you want to go, not where you are.” ~ unknown

Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

If we are laser focused on where we are, we may find ourselves stuck in the sea of discouragement, distractions, and even fears. Seeing the end in sight is the first step to conquering each day, eliminating fear and doubt, and blazing the path forward to your dreams.

Be Intentional

“Live every day with intention.” ~ Unknown

Every day is a gift; one that is certainly not promised to any of us. With the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to get distracted from doing those things that matter most. We must be intentional as we go about our day.

As you approach each day, ask yourself the following: What will you do with your time? How will you live your life? Who will you impact?

Living life with intention and on purpose will, not only improve the quality of your life, but also impact those around you.
