From Strength to Strength

“Where there is no struggle, there is no strength.” ~ Oprah Winfrey

If you only knew how the story would end. If you only had insight that the trial, you find yourself in, would strengthen you, develop you, and continue to prepare you.

If you only knew that “no” may actually mean “not yet”; that the tears you cry today, will be your joy in your mornings.

If you only knew that God is for you, and nothing can succeed against you.

If you only knew that you will survive the pain and move past the heartache.

If you only knew…..

Adversity shrinks through the lens of perspective. Approach your struggle with determination, instead of, defeat.

You will overcome, and emerge stronger.

You Are What You Think

“Nurture great thoughts; for you will never go higher than your thoughts.” – Benjamin Desraeli

Don’t allow your thoughts and words to convince you from pursuing your best life.

You are either your biggest cheerleader or your greatest critic.

What you think and speak matters.

The Past is the Past

“Inhale the future. Exhale the past.“ – “Unknown

The beauty about a new day is that it presents a new opportunity, a clean slate, and a fresh start.

The past is the past. You must be willing to let it go. This includes whatever went wrong yesterday.

Failure is not Failure

“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t.” ~ Thomas A. Edison

Thomas Edison reportedly failed many times, but he never viewed these missteps as failures. To a reporter, who asked how it felt to “fail 1,000 times”, he said, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The lightbulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

Edison understood that success, growth, even character is built through hardship. He understood that any path worth traveling, is filled with bumps, twists, and turns.

To the next adversity that disrupts your day, your week, even your life, take a good look at it, and say, with all certainty, “Bring It.”

It’s all about perspective!
