Trusting the Journey

“Learn to trust the journey, even when you do not understand it. “. ~ Lolly Daskal

There are many things that have and will continue to happen in our lives that we will never understand.

It’s human nature to want to understand the “why” behind the disappointments and tragedies of life. The “why” helps us to make sense of, and bring clarity to our world. And with clarity, maybe purpose. But we have to be comfortable with knowing that we will not always understand the “why”. We have to be ok with not fully connecting the dots of the events that happen in our lives.

Many of us believe that everything happens for a reason. And while we will never understand that reason, we hope, one day, it will all make sense. We hope for the day that the “why” will not be our primary focus. We hope that our focus is on the journey, fully trusting that it will bring the clarity and purpose we’ve been longing for; trusting that it will strengthen, develop, and prepare us to walk alongside others, as they embark on a journey of their own.
