Actions Speak

“Well done is better than well said. “ ~ Benjamin Franklin

Actions speak louder than words.

Our actions should, very well, reflect our hearts and align with ours words. Too often, we see and experience the opposite. We recognize inaction; and we feel and hear deafening silence. But isn’t inaction, action? Isn’t silence or indifference a choice, whether it is conscious or unconscious?

Many are acutely aware of the importance in speaking up; the responsibility in letting our voices be heard; but we can’t stop there. We must be intentional and purposeful in allowing our actions to speak louder than our silence.

What will your actions tell the world around you?

Make an Impact

“Little things make big days. “ ~ Unknown

Life is too short to neglect the little things.

A kind word. A warm smile. A gentle hug. These small gestures, we often take for granted, can make all the difference in someone’s world.

We can never become so busy that we forget to make an impact—impact family members closest to you; impact strangers near you; impact the world around you.

Be You!

“Comparison is the thief of joy. “

~ Unknown

The only person you should compare yourself to today is the person you were yesterday and the person you will become tomorrow.

Be unapologetic.

Be YOU.

Go Through It

“The best way out is always through. “

~ Robert Frost

When hardships disrupt our lives, we tend to look for a way of escape, an out, a quick fix; anything to avoid the pain of going through. It’s human nature to avoid the discomfort adversity brings. In life’s challenges, we feel broken and stretched beyond our limit. But in adversity, we are strengthened, developed, and empowered. Empowered to grow beyond our imagination, we become a stronger, more resilient person because of it.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2 NIV)

God is with you through adversity.

We overcome life’s challenges by simply going through them. There’s no going around it and no getting out of it.

You Have What It Takes

“Be brave. Be bold. Be free. “

~ Angelina Jolie

What’s holding you back from living the life you’ve dreamed of? What’s standing in the way of your dreams becoming your reality? What’s keeping you from reaching the height of your potential?

Everything you need, to become the best version of yourself, lies within you.

What will you accomplish today?

Change Your Attitude. Change Your Life

“Sometimes we are limited more by attitude than by opportunities. “

~ Unknown

A positive attitude allows you to see the good in every circumstance. It shifts your perspective, in an unfavorable situation, from all that could go wrong, to all that could go right.

Attitude is everything. It can be the difference between persevering through adversity to folding under the pressure of life’s challenges.

Often, we have no control of events that happen to us and around us. While having a positive attitude may not necessarily change unfavorable circumstances; it will change YOU and your ability to push forward.

Change your attitude. Change your life.

Be Obsessively Grateful

“Be obsessively grateful. “. ~ Unknown

Adversity doesn’t discriminate. It cares nothing about your racial, ethnic, social, or economic background.

No one is immune.

At some point, we must learn to navigate through life’s hardships.

No matter the circumstance, shift your focus from all that’s wrong in your life to the good happening around you. If you take a hard look, I promise you will see them.

Be obsessively grateful and allow the peace of God to anchor you through life’s storms.

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18.)
